Pilot Prerequisites

Before the 45-day pilot timeline begins, RMF and Diesel must align on three foundational requirements. The first two require mutual exploration; the third is a delivery framework.

๐Ÿ“‹

1. Carrier Data from Diesel

Diesel provides the carrier roster for pilot participation:

DOT/MC NumbersFMCSA compliance monitoring and SAFER lookups
Policy ID MappingsLinking compliance events to insured relationships
Policy Effective DatesTiming alerts relative to renewal windows
Carrier Contact InfoOnboarding communications and alert delivery

Status: Straightforward data exchange. RMF will provide a secure upload mechanism or accept encrypted file transfer. 45-day timeline begins upon receipt.

๐Ÿ”—

2. Telematics Integration: Joint Exploration Required

ComplyGuard's risk scoring is significantly enhanced by behavioral telematics data โ€” driver patterns, safety events, real-time mileage. Diesel utilizes TruckerCloud as its telematics aggregation platform, which normalizes data from 50+ ELD vendors into a unified API.

The Challenge

TruckerCloud's publicly available API documentation provides no technical specifications โ€” no endpoints, authentication details, data schemas, or integration guides. Access to actual documentation requires a commercial partnership and subscription.

Open Questions for Joint Exploration

Does Diesel have direct TruckerCloud API access? If yes, Diesel may be able to provide a data feed or credential-sharing arrangement. If no, both parties face the same integration barrier.
What is TruckerCloud's third-party access model? Can Diesel authorize downstream data access to a compliance vendor like RMF? Or would RMF need an independent TruckerCloud partnership?
What percentage of the 300 carriers are already onboarded? TruckerCloud requires explicit carrier consent per relationship. Carriers not yet connected represent onboarding friction.
What data is actually available? Safety events (speeding, harsh braking) vary by ELD vendor. Some carriers may only have basic location/HOS data.

Proposed Path Forward

Option A
Diesel-Mediated Access

If Diesel has TruckerCloud integration, Diesel provides ComplyGuard a normalized data feed or API proxy. RMF builds to Diesel's spec rather than TruckerCloud directly.

Option B
Direct TruckerCloud Partnership

RMF establishes independent commercial relationship with TruckerCloud. Requires sales engagement, contract negotiation, and likely enterprise-tier pricing. Timeline: unknown.

RMF Recommendation: Begin with Option C for pilot velocity, while pursuing Option A in parallel. If Diesel already has TruckerCloud access and can share downstream, we accelerate. If not, we avoid blocking the pilot on an unresolved third-party dependency.

3. Phased Capability Delivery

ComplyGuard capabilities deploy incrementally across the pilot window:

Days 1-7OnboardingCarrier data ingestion, FMCSA sync, dashboard provisioning
Days 8-21Monitoring ActiveAuthority/insurance alerts, inspection trend detection
Days 22-45Full ReportingRisk scoring, remediation recommendations, pilot metrics

Frequently Asked Questions

Why not just hire someone from Upwork?

A dedicated Upwork contractor could manually monitor carriers, but they would lack:

  • FMCSA domain expertise and intervention protocols
  • Underwriting integration experience
  • Established safety coaching methodology
  • The ComplyGuard automation layer

RMF brings 20+ years of motor carrier compliance expertise combined with purpose-built technology.

What does the setup fee cover?

Each carrier must be loaded into the system, mapped to DOT/MC numbers, tagged to Diesel policy IDs, verified for accuracy, and synced with FMCSA. This onboarding work is time-consuming whether manual or automated.

What happens after the pilot?

Post-pilot options include continued service at pilot rates, expanded carrier count, additional service tiers (Enterprise features), or direct Diesel dashboard access. Terms negotiated based on pilot results.

How do interventions work?

When ComplyGuard detects a risk signal, RMF safety specialists (not algorithms) review the alert and decide on action. Interventions are coaching calls โ€” education over punishment. All outreach is human-led with carrier context.

Ready to Set the Standard?

The pilot is scoped. The technology is ready. Let's prove the timing advantage together.
